Understanding Your Target Market-How To Be Effective In Marketing

If you are going to be effective in marketing, you have to understand your target market.

Understanding what your customers value, grasping what their attitudes are, and realistically knowing what they think about you compared to your competition is key to getting them to buy from you. Kevin Yaney will be leading us in a customer analysis that will tell you how to market to them effectively and when you are crossing over the line of no returns (on investment)!

Kevin Yaney

Kevin Yaney is the president and founder of Yaney Marketing, Inc., a full-service marketing and communications firm. Since 1996, Yaney Marketing has provided clients with strategic marketing plans, back office marketing solutions, creative services and publishing programs that help them better communicate and reach their customers. Yaney Marketing also operates as a book publisher under the name, Buttermilk Ridge Books.

Kevin holds a BA degree from Anderson University. Since1983 he has worked in the marketing and publishing industries. He is involved in a number of professional and community activities. He currently serves on the Marketing Advisory Board for Anderson University’s Falls School of Business. He is a past president of the Greater Indianapolis Chamber Action Committee and a member of the Indianapolis Chamber Membership and Marketing Council. In 2012, he was given the Lifetime Achievement Award for his work with the Indianapolis Chamber. He has served on the Noblesville School Corporation’s Elementary School Improvement Committee. Kevin volunteers as a Noblesville Middle School football coach, and has served on numerous church boards, committees and teaching teams. His most important role is that of a husband and father to three children.
